Dr. Kristen Hicks graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2011. She worked as an associate veterinarian at a mixed animal practice for over three years before venturing out on her own and opening up her own clinic, Diamond H Veterinary Service, outside of Covington, Indiana. She is licensed in Illinois and Indiana and is also a USDA accredited veterinarian. She was raised with companion animals as well as a herd of horses. She has years of experience with horses, cattle, pigs, goats, sheep and small animals.
What sets Dr. Hicks apart from some other veterinarians is that she truly cares about the health and wellbeing of the animals, no matter what the species is. She always tries to do what is best for the animal above anything else. Diamond H also tries hard to keep our prices affordable so that all of our clients can afford to take the best care of their pets and livestock.
Dr. Hicks married Steve Hicks, a local beef and grain farmer in the summer of 2010. They have two little boys, Jett Daniel (born August 2013) and Waylon Jene (born March 2016).
